The <em>2d laser cut<\/em> works by directing the output of a high-powered laser more commonly through the optics.<\/p>\n<p>The focused laser beam is directed towards the material, which then melts, burns, evaporates or is expelled by a gas jet, leaving an edge with a high quality surface finish. Industrial <strong>2d laser cutters<\/strong> are used for cutting flat sheet material as well as structural and piping materials.<\/p>\n<p>There are three main types of lasers used in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vantomachines.com\/en\/metal\/2d-laser-cutting-machines\">2d laser cutting<\/a>. The CO2 laser is suitable for cutting, drilling and engraving. Neodymium (Nd) and yttrium-aluminium-garnet (Nd: YAG) Lasers are identical in style and differ only in the application. Nd is used to drill and where high energy is required but low repetition.
